Weekly Reflection: October 21

Reporters: Julian and Sofia
Photographer: Riddick

This is when we were going to smash the rocks and
up above we were trying to put the rocks back together.

This week in science we smashed rocks and found out that pumice is the softest and quartzite is the hardest. Also we made our own glaciers. In the glacier we found pebbles that were like erratics, giant boulder that was moved by the glaciers.  We also found soil and other sediment that was like the moraines that were deposited by the glaciers after they melted.

We have started on our first week of spelling groups. We have a menu of spelling activities to choose from to work on the meanings of our spelling words.  We have to order "one thing off the menu".

We are going to start a fundraiser for people with Leukemia and Lymphoma. Our school will bring in loose change to help patients who are sick. The class that  raises the highest amount of money, wins pasta from Olive Garden all for helping others in need.
